Michael Kennedy McIntyre & Associates
An alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Michael K. McIntyre earned a BA in history before earning admission to the university’s law school. After earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1979, he was admitted to the Georgia State Bar and served as an assistant federal defender in the Federal Defender Program. While at the Federal Defender Program he provided legal services to people accused of federal crimes but unable to afford legal representation. In 1985, he started his own firm, a law firm dedicated to post-conviction legal services. Over his almost four decade-long legal career, Mr. McIntyre has helped numerous clients pursue the available remedies for a felony conviction such as representation before the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles and other pathways to release from confinement. Additionally, his firm has experience with petitions for removal of convicted sex offenders from Georgia’s sex offender registry.
